Ausgrid (formerly EnergyAustralia) is planning to construct a new substation at the corner of Australia Avenue and Bennelong Parkway in Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park.
It is proposed that an architecturally-designed substation building be built to be in operation by mid 2013.
The substation development will allow Ausgrid to meet the increasing electricity demands of Sydney Olympic Park’s growing business and residential communities.
Work will involve constructing a new substation building and associated equipment on a site that has been selected by the Sydney Olympic Park Authority. This project will not affect your electricity supply.
Please download the pdf information sheet for more details about the proposed development and how you can find out more.
Community displays will be set up by Ausgrid’s project team with photo-montages and site plans of the substation. There will also be people on hand to answer any questions you might have about the project.
If you are unable to attend one of the displays but would like more information you can arrange an alternative appointment at a time convenient to you.
