V8 Works Week 6
Works associated with the temporary overlay for the V8 Supercar event are continuing towards finalisation.
 Important announcement
- Australia Ave between Herb Elliott Ave and Kevin Coombs Ave will be closed between Monday 23 November and Monday 30 November. Traffic diversions will be in place.
Concrete Barriers & Debris Fence
- There are isolated areas which require completion. During these times traffic wardens will be in place to facilitate a smooth passage.
Pedestrian Bridges
- The remaining 3 bridges will be erected on Tuesday 24 November. Temporary road closures will operate between 6am and noon on Showground Road between Dawn Fraser Ave and Murray Rose Avenue; and Australia Ave between 12 noon and 3pm between Murray Rose and Dawn Fraser Ave
Grandstands & Platforms
- Fit outs of the grandstands and corporate facilities continues however this will not effect traffic.
Temporary Buildings
- Temporary portable buildings and toilet instillation will also continue however, will not effect roads.
During the week, there may be the need for additional traffic diversions to be in place throughout the precinct. However, at all times traffic management wardens will be in place to ensure the smooth passage of traffic.
