Community Update from Transpacific Waster Services - Homebush
As one of the largest liquid waste treatment facilities in Australia, Transpacific was recently engaged to dispose of liquid waste from Orica’s Kooragang facility.
The waste was transported to Transpacific’s Homebush facility by Office of the Environment and Heritage (OEH) licensed waste transporters, with all movements fully documented in accordance with the law.
Transpacific’s plant is licensed to treat a wide range of liquid wastes and is the only company to have a waste tracking system that has been approved by the OEH. Data from this system is transferred to OEH electronically on a weekly basis.
The waste received from Orica’s Kooragang facility was transported and treated in accordance with the law in a manner that is prudent, lawful and in line with standard operating procedures. At no stage was any member of staff, or the community, at any risk.
Residents with any questions or concerns regarding our operations, are welcome to contact Transpacific’s 24 hour hotline on 1800 559 606.
Please rest assured we will take your concerns seriously and ALL calls are registered and investigated. If you would like to know the outcome of the investigation, please let our staff know and we would be happy to call you back once completed.
