Construction update V8 Supercars - 31 October to 6 November

Update on works associated with the temporary overlay for the V8 Supercar event. 

Works will continue along Australia Avenue. Traffic management will be in place between Herb Elliott Avenue and Grand Parade allowing the traffic to be contra flowed on the eastern carriage way.

31 October to 6 November

New works

• Concrete barriers will be placed along and Edwin Flack Avenue and Coach Pod B; and
• Grandstands and Corporate structures being constructed along Dawn Fraser Ave and Australia Ave (Pit lane).

Closures

• Southbound Lanes will be closed on Edwin Flack Ave for the installation of concrete barriers. All traffic will be contra flowed on the northern carriage way.
• As there will be a great deal of construction and activity on Australia Ave over coming weeks, pedestrians are encouraged to use the footbridge provided across Australia Ave, at Jacaranda Square once opened.

7 to 13 November

New Works

• Concrete barriers will be installed along Dawn Fraser Avenue between Edwin Flack and Showground Rd; and
• Grandstands and corporate structures being constructed in Australia Avenue and Dawn Fraser Ave.

Special Note: Due to bad weather week 5 works are subject to change. 

During the each week, there may be the need for additional traffic diversions to be in place throughout the precinct. At all times traffic management wardens will be in place to ensure the smooth passage of traffic.
