V8 SuperCars Traffic and Construction Update
V8 SUPERCARS MOTOR RACE
WEEK TWO 26 – 31 OCTOBER 2009 WORKS UPDATE
Works associated with the temporary overlay for the V8 Super car race at Sydney Olympic Park continue.
Week 2 works will include:
- The continued construction of grandstands in Australia Avenue and Coach Pod B on Edwin Flack Avenue.
- The works will also include the placement of temporary concrete barriers and safety fencing in each area respectively.
- New works will see concrete barriers being placed along Kevin Coombes Avenue and Edwin Flack Avenue.
- Pedestrian bridge footings will be completed at the intersection of Australia Avenue and New England Avenue, Kevin Coombes Avenue and Edwin Flack Avenue.
- The pedestrian bridges at the intersection of Australia Avenue and New England Avenue and Edwin Flack Avenue will be completed.
- At all times and traffic management wardens will be in place to ensure the smooth passage of traffic.
