Proposed mobile telecommunications facility at Sydney Olympic Park
Optus is proposing to install a mobile telecommunications facility on the rooftop of the Paddington Pavilion, Cnr. of Olympic Boulevard and New England Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, to provide its new WCDMA 2100 (3G) mobile phone network in the Sydney Olympic Park area.
The proposed installation is being deployed in partnership with Vodafone and will enable both carriers to provide their new 3G network services by sharing the installation of one mobile facility.
Optus in partnership with Vodafone wants to ensure that the local community has adequate opportunity to comment on the proposal. Therefore Optus, in partnership with Vodafone, has commenced a consultation process for the proposal in line with the requirements of the Industry Code for the Deployment of Mobile Phone Network Infrastructure.
