Rural Fire Service Exercise

The NSW Rural Fire Service is undertaking a short aviation training exercise at Newington Armory, within Sydney Olympic Park. As such, the community can expect to see and hear minimal aircraft activity in the morning on Friday 18 November. 

Some media will be present to watch the Air Crane drop water on the Newington Armory, where three helicopters will also be landing. These aircraft, including the Air Crane, provide invaluable assistance to the NSW RFS during firefighting operations and help to protect communities from bush fires.

The aircraft may generate considerable noise for a short period of time.  The NSW RFS wishes to thank you for your understanding.
