Sizzling Santa Success

Santa came to Newington last weekend for the annual ‘Sizzling Santa’ family event.

Newington residents turned out in force to meet Santa, his Chief Elf and all the Santa helpers.

The youngsters were entertained with a craft area, jumping castles and a ‘tea cup’ ride, face painters plus roving entertainers while the Salvation Army Band provided plenty of Christmas cheer with their performance of Christmas music.

Hundreds of youngsters from babies to teenagers whispered their Christmas wishes in Santa’s ear.

The Newington Neighbourhood Association organised the event and wants to extend a big thank you to Dooleys, Newington Marketplace, Crown International Holdings, Newington Tyres & More, Newington Real Estate and Dynamic Property Services for sponsoring the day.

Thanks as well to the Newington Public School P&C, Auburn Council, SOPA and all the volunteers who helped out on the day.

And, of course, thanks to Santa.
