NSW Rural Fire Service aviation exercise at Newington Armory

Sydney Olympic Park Authority has been advised that the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) will be undertaking a short aviation exercise at Newington Armory, within Sydney Olympic Park.

As such the community can expect to see and hear minimal aircraft activity for a rehearsal on Tuesday 30 October and for the event on the afternoon of Friday 2 November 2012.

An Air Crane will drop water on Newington Armory, where other helicopters will also be landing.

These aircraft, including the Air Crane, provide invaluable assistance to the NSW RFS during firefighting operations and help to protect communities from bush fires.
