V8 Works - Week 3 Nov 2 to 7
Week Three (2 to 7 November) Works Update
Works associated with the temporary overlay for the event continue.
Week 3 works will include:
Concrete Barriers & Debris Fences
- Continue installation along Kevin Coombes Ave and Australia Ave
- Continue debris fence installation as per above;
- Commence barrier installation along Dawn Fraser Ave (west of Olympic Boulevard).
Pedestrian Bridges
- Complete span erection of Pedestrian Bridges 1 (Australia Avenue/New England Avenue) & 3 (Edwin Flack Avenue);
- Commence stair erection of Pedestrian Bridge 2 (Kevin Coombes Avenue/Olympic Boulevard);
- Commence stair erection on Pedestrian Bridge 4 (Dawn Fraser Avenue/Olympic Boulevard);
- Commence footings for Pedestrian Bridges 5 & 6 (Showground Road);
- Commence footings for Pedestrian Bridge 7 (Australia Avenue)
Grandstands & Platforms
- Commence platform build (grandstand and corporate) along Dawn Fraser Avenue;
- Commence corporate structure at intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Edwin
- Flack Avenue;
- Commence erection of steel frame for pit building structure on Australia Avenue.
At all times and traffic management wardens will be in place to ensure the smooth passage of traffic.
