The State Emergency Service is an emergency and rescue service, made up of highly trained volunteers, dedicated to assisting the community.
The Auburn Unit is now recruiting Operations and Rescue personnel
If you are at least 18 years of age, have the time and want to help your community in a challenging environment, while gaining new skills, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.
Training is on wednesday nights from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. In order for us to fulfill our responsibilities members undertake training in the following areas:
First aid
Communications
General rescue
Storm damage operations
Map reading and navigation
Land search
Chainsaw (crosscut and felling)
Auburn SES meets every wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Auburn Botanic Gardens Works Depot, Chisholm Road, Auburn.
