Silverwater Fire - Important information for residents

As you may be aware, a fire occurred in Day Street North on Sunday 2nd August 2009 in a factory complex.

The NSW Fire Brigade advised that the fire is under control and should be extinguished later today.

Traffic is not allowed into Day Street North at this time and Council ask residents to obey all Police directions.

Advice was issued yesterday to all residents in the immediate area to stay indoors and to keep all windows closed and air conditioners off. As a precaution this advice should remain in place for the next 12-24 hours.
