V8 Works Week 5
V8 Supercar week five – 16 to 22 November 2009 works update
Works associated with the temporary overlay for the Sydney Telstra 500 continue.
Week 5 works will include:
Concrete Barriers & Debris Fence
- Rolling lane diversions will occur at various locations for the full week for the continuation unloading and stacking of barriers.
- Specifically on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November the instillation of barriers will occurs around Jacaranda Square.
- Similarly contra flow lane diversions will be applied to Edwin Flack Avenue for the continued instillation of the barriers.
Pedestrian Bridges
- All bridges have been constructed however signage will be finalised this week and rolling lane diversions will be will be in place for this process.
Grandstands & Platforms
- Fit outs of the grandstands and corporate facilities commences however this will not affect traffic.
Temporary Buildings
- Temporary portable buildings and toilet instillation will also begin towards the end of the week however, will not effect roads.
During the week, there may be the need for additional traffic diversions to be in place throughout the precinct. However at all times traffic management wardens will be in place to ensure the smooth passage of traffic.
