Road Closures - V8 Supercards Week 3
 WEEK THREE 1 TO 6 NOVEMBER 2010
Works associated with the temporary overlay for the V8 Supercars continue.
Works will continue along Australia Avenue. Traffic management will be in place between Herb Elliott Avenue and Grand Parade allowing the traffic to be contra flowed on the eastern carriage way. Pedestrian access to Australia Ave will be provided via a fenced off, corridor leading up to the lime-green coloured Pay Station.
As there will be a great deal of construction and activity on Australia Ave over coming weeks, pedestrians are encouraged to use the footbridge provided across Australia Ave, at Jacaranda Square.
New works will see:

Concrete barriers being placed along Edwin Flack Avenue, and Dawn Fraser Avenue;

Grandstands and corporate structures being constructed in Australia Avenue, Kevin Coombs Avenue and Edwin Flack Avenue.

Pedestrian Bridges 5 & 6 will be constructed across Showground Road outside the rail station. Minor traffic diversions will be in place on 1st & 2nd November and a full road closure on Wednesday 3rd November to ensure a speedy construction.
PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURES:

Wednesday 3rd November - Showground Road between Dawn Fraser Avenue and Murray Rose Avenue;

Friday 5th & Saturday 6th November - Dawn Fraser Avenue between Olympic Blvd and Edwin Flack Avenue.
 WEEK FOUR 8 TO 13 NOVEMBER 2010
New Works will see:

Concrete barriers being placed along Dawn Fraser Avenue between Edwin Flack Avenue and Olympic Blvd, Showground Rd and Murray Rose Ave;

Grandstands and corporate structures being constructed in Australia Avenue, Kevin Coombs Avenue, Edwin Flack Avenue and Dawn Fraser Avenue.
During each week, there may be the need for additional traffic diversions to be in place throughout the precinct. At all times traffic management wardens will be in place to ensure the smooth passage of traffic.
