The Newington Community Centre is located on the corner of Avenue of Europe & Avenue of Asia, Newington NSW 2127. The centre was built and used as the media and conference centre during the 2000 Olympic Games. It was handed over to Auburn Council and opened as a community centre on the 1st of December 2001.
The Newington Community Centre is a multipurpose facility which is used for a range of community activities and functions.
Opening Hours
The Centre is open when the Newington Library is operating.- Thursday 2.00pm – 6.00pm
- Saturday 9.00am – 12.00pm

Programs and group activities on offer at Newington Community Centre include:

- education for over 55’s

- quilting & patchwork group

- meeting room and hall hire
There are 2 Meeting Rooms which are divided by a partition. Each room can hold a maximum of 40 people. It can also be opened up as 1 large room. The meeting rooms are commonly used for training venues, meetings and smaller gatherings.
The community centre also has an enclosed multipurpose outdoor recreation area called the Rage Cage which is suitable for playing basketball or soccer.
